The Income Tax Department requires Advocates for representation before the Hon'ble High Court of Bombay, Mumbai in matters relating to Direct Tax laws. Practicing Advocates and retired officers of the Income Tax Department who are enrolled / registered as an Advocate with the High Court of Bombay, Mumbai are eligible to apply. The schedule of fees and allowance, category and qualifications of persons eligible to apply and other details including the proforma in which the application is to be made is available on the official website of the department i.e. http//incometaxindia.gov.in/archive/web15112007.doc.

Only those applicants who satisfy all criteria mentioned therein need apply. Persons who have already put in any sort of application (including applications for up-gradation) prior to the appearance of this advertisement are required to apply afresh. Selected persons shall have to execute a service level agreement / undertaking with department. Clarifications, if any in this regard may be sought from Shri KK Mahajan, the Joint Commissioner of Income-Tax (Judicial)-1, Mumbai on Telephone No (022) (22082271) on any working day betwee 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Applications are required to be filed in Duplicate in the proper form in the office of The Commissioner of Income Tax (Judicial) at the above mentioned address before the close of office hours on 28/12/2007.
