Wash Officer - Lucknow / MumbaiCategory: Government jobs Under the direct supervision of the Chief, Field Office, the technical guidance of Chief, Child Environment Programme ICO, and in close collaboration with the Specialists from Education, Health & Nutrition of UNICEF in the state offices, with the State Government, District Administration, NGOs, communities and their representative, responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring of the sanitation, hygiene behaviour and water supply components of the Child's Environment Programme (CEP) in States. The the extent possible, interventions are to be informed by evidence of poeple's knowledge, attitudes and practices relating to water supply, sanitation and hygiene, especially of women, children and the poor. Interventions are to be designed to promote social inclusion and reinforce UNICEF- supported initiatives in other sectors. Qualifications & Experience: University Degree in Public Health, Civil Engineering (Water and Sanitation) Social Development related technical field. Minimum two years of professional work experience in rural water supply and environmental sanitation. Experience at State and District level including project formulation, design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Experience of community mobilization and participatory monitoring an asset.
