Job Description: Planning and Strategising Prepare a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment in the plant and agree it with Production (MMC) and Plant Head. Plan and allocate maintenance budget. Obtain the continuous operating industry status and liason with MSEDCL Co. official and as well as Directorate of industrial officials for achieving 100% exemption from the power load shedding. Operation and Maintenance of Electrical System as well support new project construction activity for electrical installation. Policy and Process Design, Implementation and Review Review and update policies and processes for insurance and maintenance for the plant and agree them with the Plant Head. Ensure adherence to equipment management procedures at project site Supervise the preventive maintenance of equipment by the concerned Maintenance Foreman/ Maintenance Engineer/ Utility engineer and electical engineer. Ensure breakdown maintenance on receipt of a Breakdown Intimation report from the concerned site Engineer. Ensure that daily equipment log sheets are prepared (setting out the breakdown time, fuel consumption, power consumption etc) by the specific maintenance engineers assigned to the equipment. Monitor Repair and Maintenance expenses and ensure that it does not exceed beyond budget. Update the preventive maintenance schedule and break-down reports on a monthly basis and forward the same to the Production (MMC) and Plant Head. Coordination, Interface, Imparting Training to Internal and External entities Liaison with Plant Head and Production (MMC) to align plans, ensure that requirements are met and information is shared. Organise periodic training for plant personnel on equipment operation, safety procedures and standard operating procedure. Management of performance, capability and morale Manage performance of the maintenance personnel, support capability building and ensure that individual and individual/ team morale and motivation is positive. Infrastructure and Technology Investment and Management Maintain highest ability of equipments for plant operations. Give inputs to production manager for creating proposals for new/ improved equipment. Utilise maintenance budget to upgrade maintenance equipment and resources. Ensure Maximum energy saving.
