Candidates having knowledge of Marathi will be preferred. The qualifications and pay-scales for the posts of Lecturers are as prescribed by the UGC and University of Mumbai from time to time. For the post of Lecturer and Librarian NET/SET is the compulsory requirement even for PhD Degree holder. Those who have completed MPhil in concerned subject upto 31st December 1993 or submission of PhD thesis upto 31.12.2002 are exempeted from NET/SET. Relaxation of 5% is provided from 55% to 50% at the PG Degree level to SC & ST Categories.
